The Gift Shop and Information Center is a great place to find local items and artisan objects produced on Vieques and Puerto Rico: Beautiful decorative masks from Ponce and Loisa; sweeet Vieques made honey and hot sauces: glass sculptures by artist Sandra Reyes; sea inspired ceramic pieces by Vieques resident Lulu Atkin; fragrant handmade soap from Vieques and Puerto Rico; interesting spices from Vieques; traditional Santos (carved saints from the best of Puerto Rico’s renowned carvers) and much more.
The Trust specializes in environmental products like brightly colored re-usable shopping bags and water bottles, environmentally friendly bug spray and suntan lotion and recycled glass jewelry.
With the best book selection in Vieques, the Trust focuses on local history, natural history, birds and gardening books — in English and Spanish. We have identification cards for local fish and shells. Children’s books, jigsaw puzzles and environmental toys make great gifts for young people. Haitian metal-ware magnets and ornaments are bright reminders of a trip to the tropics while directly supporting the recovery of the Haitian economy. Post cards and notecards from local artists are constantly changing.
Unique gifts and one of a kind art objects are yours to discover.
The Trust encourages local artisans to display their work in the Gift Shop.
The Gift Shop and Information Centre volunteers are trained to help visitors find the way to beaches, restaurants and activities that make your visit a success. And you can sign up here for all the Trust events from house tours to the Vieques Pops event.
Because all our staff work on a volunteer basis, the revenues from your purchases go directly to fund our critically acclaimed programs and environmental conservation efforts.
The Trust encourages visitors and residents to volunteer in the Gift Shop. It’s a great way to get involved.
